Purpose, Target and Activities

The purpose of Arel USAM Gender Studies Research and Working Group is to increase awareness and sensitivity about gender and to carry out academic, administrative, theoretical and practical studies in this context. With this match, the Working Group conducts and supports national and international scientific research on gender. It exhibits an interdisciplinary approach and keeps the issue of gender on the agenda by including all faculties, departments and administrative units. performs panels, projects and other academic activities. In line with these purposes, the following objectives are carried out:

a) Scientific research in the field of gender.

b) Organizes national and international conferences, seminars, congresses and panels.

c) Trainings to increase the awareness and sensitivity of students, academic and administrative staff on gender and gender equality.

d) Collaborating with national and international organizations on gender issues through the Arel USAM Directorate.

e) Provide support for Gender lessons in the curriculum within its capacity.
